CGU Key Services

Key Services International's rates apply to all French expatriates and to all non French residents (Corsica excluded) for a maximal rental period of 180 days. The vehicle is intended for personal purpose only. All commercial usage is excluded (tour operators, tourist guide, etc.)

WE GUARANTEE THE RATE AND THE SPECIFIC KEY CONDITIONS ONLY FOR THE RESERVATION VALIDATED AND CONFIRMED ON OUR SITE as requested by the customer.

Reservations cannot be modified nor transferred.

Our rental partner does not guarantee a new car, the model, the color, or the type of fuel, the GPS, or the size of the boot and the passenger compartment, etc..

Your Internet Reservation

These bookings benefit from a particular fare, they are to be fully paid at the time of the reservation.

Prepaid booking requests must be confirmed as well, the online prepayment is NOT a confirmation if you do not receive the EUROPCAR confirmation

Our rates include

Unlimited mileage.
The CDW and THW insurances with a reduced deductible (1 to 13 rental days) according to the T&C of the rental-car company.
The PAI and WWI insurance (if contracted on booking).
V.A.T. 20%.
Oil and maintenance, with prior agreement with the rental-car company.
Returning and immobilization expenses for the vehicle in case of accident, with prior agreement with the “24 hours emergency service” of the rental-car company, in France only
Airport and registration taxes.
Standard cleaning of the interior of the vehicle according to the T&C of the rental-car company.
The first additional driver (more 26 years old and more than 3 years of license).

The insurances include

Unlimited third-party liability, without deductible.
Theft, fire, glass breakage, accident, and other damages (vehicle) with a deductible according to the T&C of the rental-car company (1 to 13 consecutive rental days charged)
Additional insurance for the driver (in case of liable accident); and for the driver and the passengers for permanent disability or death in case of an accident with the rental-car. (If contracted on booking).
Medical and technical assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in France only
Starting from the 14th rental day (minimum 14 consecutive days of rental charged) no deductible will be charged in case of theft (vehicle), accident and other damages (vehicle) according to the T&C of the rental-car company. (except for the categories Confort and Prestige).

Our rates do NOT include

Extra charge for young driver (between 21 years and less 26 years andmore than 3 years of license), 40€ per day minimum
Options: baby seat, child seat, booster seat, GPS, snow equipment, etc ... (subject to availability)
Fuelling costs (fuel policy : full to full).
Local extra charge for Corsica.
Extra charges for pick-up or return in mountain based agencies.
Extra charges for pick up and return while the rental-car agency is closed.
Loss (theft) of the key, fuel error etc ... (see CG of the landlord on site)

Administration fees in case of accident or offence (between 72€ and 90€).

Return before the return date booked : if return early, no refund possible and the return costs will be invoiced by the rental company

The cars are not equiped by GPS.

The rental company can purpose you insurances and / or additional paid options. There is no obligation on your part to accept them. If you are already covered according to the formula chosen online (more than 14 days and / or PAI included), thank you for refusing the insurance included in our conditions.

Prepaid Internet Reservation

These bookings benefit from a particular fare, they are to be fully paid at the time of the reservation via our secured site.

Prepaid booking requests must be confirmed as well, the online prepayment is NOT a confirmation. In case of non-availability of the desired car category, we will refund the amount of the rent paid on our website in euros (bank charges or others at your expense)

Key Services International is a a wholesaler who operates independently from all rental-car companies. Key Services International contracted preferential prices and conditions for rental cars on the French metropolitan territory.

All booking requests, made online, by email, or by phone, will be handled and confirmed within 72 hours (96 hours if bank holiday), if conform to our T&C and availability by category, dates, hours and locations. Booking requests will be confirmed through a booking voucher/confirmation sent by email in PDF format stating the name of the main driver, the place, date, and hour of the collecting and return place of the rental car, the address and phone number of the rental-car agency(s), the vehicle category, and the standard amount of the rental car cost.
Prepaid booking requests must be confirmed as well, the online prepayment is NOT a confirmation.

IMPORTANT : The booking request must be made on the name and last name of the main driver.

To collect the rental car the main driver has to hand :

- his booking voucher/confirmation

- his passport or photo ID valid

-his original driver license valid and more than 3 years of license(if needed the international driver license as well)

-his international credit card with embossed numbers showing the same name and last name figuring on the driver license (VISA / MASTERCARD / AMEX... Except DEBIT CARD, Electron, Maestro, Ecard, Prepaid etc..) for the deposit not debited (amount given by the rental company only) and the payment to the rental company (except for the payment online)

If these documents are not presented to the rental-car agency when collecting the vehicle, the rental-car agency reserves the right not to carry out the rental.
The rental is personal, non transmissible and agreed upon a pre-determined period (days and hours) figuring on the booking voucher/confirmation issued by Key Services International.

The main driver, as well as the additional(s) driver(s), must be aged 26 or more and have held a valid driver licence for at least 3 years at the moment the rental-car contract begins (5 years for the category PDAR and IFAR). However, the minimum age required to rent a car may differ depending on the category of vehicle chosen. In some cases a young driver surcharge (more 21 and less 26 : betwen 40 € and 60 € per day) may be applied according to the T&C of the rental-car company.

The cost of the rental is defined according to our pricing list, which is renewed every beginning of April. The rental cost is payable either directly online on our safeguarded web site (by VISA or Master Card) completing the booking request (and benefiting a reduction), or directly at the rental-car agency. Please note that Switch, Maestro, Delta and Electron cards are not accepted by the rental-car companies.

For any delay (more than one hour), it will notify the renter company directly to see if he can keep the reservation.

The booking voucher/confirmation guarantees a vehicle in the chosen category. Neither models, colours, nor motorizations can be guaranteed. Preferences will be transmitted to the rental-car agency for information only.

Rental days are calculated on a 24-hours base starting from the rental car departure time. The rental-car companies allow a 29-minutes grace term. Once this delay is over an additional day at Key Services International's rates will automatically be charged.

External drops off within France (and Corsica) are allowed but not included in our rates starting from the first rental day. Rentals less than 4 days must be returned at the departure rental-car agency. The rental-car company will charge you their official rates and drop off fees in case of an external drops off .

Rental vehicles are not covered by insurance on a boat/ferry (except for Corsica - ferry crossing not included in EUROPCAR insurance).

The countries in which the leased vehicle is allowed to travel are: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain (excluding islands and enclaves), Finland, France (including Corsica - ferry crossing not included in EUROPCAR insurance), Italy (except Prestiges cars), Norway, Portugal, Spain (excluding islands and enclaves),Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom (only by the shuttle - subject to the conditions of the rental company, to be verified 15 days before the vehicle is taken over).

IMPORTANT EMS (assistance service abroad): additional insurance for all travel in authorized countries (list above - € 10 per day - billed over 30 days maximum) to be taken with EUROPCAR (pick up day).

Drops off outside of metropolitan France are allowed for certain categories and from-to Key-cities (major European Cities), with prior agreement of the rental-car company. These drops off implies an international drops off fee according to the rental-car company T&C.

CANCELLATION - EXTENSION

Extension or cancellation must be requested to Key Services International 48 hours before the beginning/ending, on key@ttcar.net of the rental-car contract and are free of charges or directly the renter if we are closed (after 05:00 pm until 09:00 am, weekends and french public holidays).

Extensions are possible subject to the agreement of the rental company, according to its general conditions of rental and use.

All concellation within less than 48 hours before the delivery date a 95 € cancellation fee will be charged.

REFUND

No refund will be made in the event of early return and / or in the event of non-compliance with the KEY conditions.

In the event of sub-classification (lower category rented compared to the reserved category), the difference will be refunded compared to the amount paid online if payment in advance and at the price of the rented category (if the amount is minimum 50 €).

If return early, no refund possible and the return costs will be invoiced by the rental company.

Reservations with payment in agency (at the rental company):

Any modification can be made on the initial reservation, it will be necessary to redo a new one online, subject to availability given by the site and we cancel the initial reservation by email at key@ttcar.net.

Any addition (flight number, email, etc.) can be made on the existing reservation, it will be necessary to make a new reservation online, subject to availability on the site or directly notify the rental company EUROPCAR (contact details on the confirmation of booking).

Reservations with payment on line (KEY SERVICES voucher):

Any modification can be made on the initial reservation. It will be necessary to make a new one online, subject to availability on the site and to cancel the initial reservation by email to key@ttcar.net. Upon receipt of your email, we will send you a cancellation confirmation and refund your initial order (subject to the terms and conditions of cancellation).

IMPORTANT: Snow equipment cannot be reserved on our site. It will be necessary to obtain some after taking the vehicle, in specialized shops.

Complains

All complains must be sent by email at key@ttcar.net within 3 month of the end rental car period.

All complains must define the subject of the contestation and must be sent along with a copy of the car rental contract showing the contract and the booking number. Key Services acts as an intermediary between the renter and the rental car companies, and cannot be considered for responsible for the rental car company misdirection's. All services purchased by the renter with the rental car companies by collecting the car cannot be contested through Key Services.
